Jean Lawrie started Bookkeeping Plus, LLC 1986 as financial services firm that would offer clients experience, attention to detail and the kind of financial advice that would help them build successful businesses.

Along with helping businesses, Jean has been assisting individuals with their tax preparation and planning since entering the accounting/tax field.  

As an Enrolled Agent Jean has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee.

Jean Lawrie has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Franklin Pierce College, now Franklin Pierce University. Bookkeeping Plus, LLC specializes in assisting small businesses in analyzing and setting up their bookkeeping systems, provides accounting and payroll services.  Jean also offers QuickBooks® consulting and has been teaching QuickBooks® since 2001.  

Jean Lawrie's experience includes over six years of experience with CPA firms.  Bookkeeping Plus has more than 35 years of experience working with businesses and organizations as diverse as non-profit, retail,
medical/dental, professional services and construction companies.  

Jean is a founding member of the New Hampshire Chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals. She has served as the association's secretary for many years and served as its president for four years.
